The TYPE 5 by RESSENCE is a pioneering dive watch, a continuation of the TYPE 1 and TYPE 3 series, designed for exceptional underwater readability. Crafted using advanced materials and design, it adheres to ISO 6425 standards for diving watches while maintaining RESSENCE’s trademark aesthetics. Inspired by sea turtles, it’s made from lightweight titanium, weighing only 87g, and features an organic, aqua-dynamic design.
The TYPE 5 employs a unique display system, with revolving discs for hours, seconds, and an oil temperature gauge, all part of the patented orbital display system, the Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS). The watch is submerged in 37.5ml of oil, a world-first for a mechanical watch, compensating for underwater pressure and offering constant lubrication for its components.
This oil-filled design eliminates Total Internal Reflection, ensuring clear legibility from any viewing angle underwater. The watch utilizes magnetic transmission via micro magnets to communicate minute information from the movement to the ROCS.
The TYPE 5 is temperature-compensated with a system of seven bellows and features the Ressence Compression Lock System (RCLS) for maximum water resistance.
