The Reverso is one of the most precious and unusual models created by Cartier. After the launch of the “Basculante” in the 1930s, Cartier, taking inspiration from Jaeger Le Coultre, created the Reverso in late 70s. Being a Reverso model the case can slide and rotate hiding the part with the dial. The lines of the Reverso follows in terms of style that of the classic Tank but with the peculiarity of the rotating case. For sure the Reverso is one of the rarest Cartier Tank models in history, very few were produced and even further came to the market.
This hand-wound Cartier Tank Reverso features a beautiful and elegant white dial with black Roman numerals, blue hands and the signature Paris at 6 o’clock. The light brown leather strap comes with a Cartier deployant in yellow gold. The 18K yellow gold case still has a visible serial number and deep hallmarks. The movement works perfectly. The sliding case mechanism has no defects and it is in perfect working order. Undoubtedly an extremely rare model that should be added to the Cartier collection.
