Tudor Submariner ref.7928 PCG Mixed Graphics.
Reference 7928 was the first Tudor Submariner to feature crown protection guards. Manufactured between 1959 and 1968, it was made in several versions which differ in some details such as the graphics of the dial and the shape of the case. The most collectible examples are for sure the earliest assembled like the present example which comes with a
Mixed Graphic dial (Gilt outer track and white writings) and a with pointed crown guards.
The overall conditions of the present Tudor Submariner ref.7928 are extremely good. The dial despite of some light signs of aging is absolutely flawless and comes with a beautiful yellowish patina. The case has most likely been lightly polished in the past but it still maintains its original factory proportions, strong lugs and sharp bevels. The caliber is
running correctly, the bracelet is very well preserved, the bezel has no cracks.
All components match the production period : Mixed graphics dial with outer gilt track and white writings, fat font inlay, PCG case, 7928/II.63 caseback, 7206/80 bracelet, caliber 390.
