ROLEX SUBMARINER REF. 16618 SERTI DIAL
Production of the Rolex Submariner reference 16618 began around 1988 and it was the successor to the 16808, the previous Rolex Submariner reference in 18kt yellow gold. The production of reference 16618 ceased in 2008 and it was replaced by the current modern version with ceramic bezel. Reference 16618 was produced with black or blue dial. In some rare cases, the reference 16618 was equipped with gemstone dials, like the present specimen. Indeed, the exclusivity of this Rolex Submariner 16618 is further enhanced by the presence of a very rare Serti dial with diamond and sapphire hour markers.
The present Rolex Submariner ref.16618 is in exceptional overall condition. The case has been very lightly polished over the years, but still has the original factory proportions with deep gold hallmarks under the lugs. The matching 18-karat gold bracelet shows no stretch whatsoever. The rare Serti dial is in mint condition and shows no signs of age such as stains or pitting. All components are as per production period: Swiss t-25 Serti dial, blue inlay, 92908/46B 18kt gold bracelet, triple lock crown, 16610 signed case back, 3135 COSC movement.
The watch comes with original box and papers.
