Description:
OMEGA SPEEDMASTER ALBINO LIMITED EDITION 500 PIECES FULL SET
The Omega Speedmaster Professional “Albino”, introduced in 1997 for the Italian market, commemorates the 40th anniversary of the iconic Speedmaster. Limited to 500 pieces, it features an white-cream dial with black hands coated in Super-LumiNova. The designation “Albino” for this model stemmed from its distinctive white dial, a rarity among Speedmasters of that era which typically featured black dials. This model is notable for being one of Omega’s first to utilize Super-LumiNova and a ‘sapphire sandwich’ design, allowing a view of the caliber 1863 movement through the caseback. The movement, an upgraded version of the caliber 1861, boasts luxury finishes such as Côtes de Genève. The watch originally came with either a bracelet (referenced as 3593.20) or a black leather strap (3893.20), housed in a black leather box typical of Omega’s special editions.
This Omega Speedmaster “Albino” reference 3593.20 is a remarkable specimen of this rare, limited edition timepiece. Its overall condition is outstanding, appearing almost flawless. The unpolished case, pristine dial, and faultless functioning of the 1863 caliber movement contribute to its exceptional quality. Securing an “Albino” in such impeccable condition is uncommon, particularly considering the vulnerability of the white-cream dial to flaws or moisture damage. Acquiring such a pristine example presents a significant opportunity for Omega collectors, given its production limited to just 500 pieces. This full set watch comes with its original box and papers, perfectly aligning with the limited edition box set.
