Description:
OMEGA SEAMASTER 120 REF. 116.073 DEEP BLUE
In the 1960s, the Omega Seamaster was advertised as the ultimate diving watch for both sports enthusiasts and professional divers, specifically designed to withstand the depths of the ocean. As the smaller version of the Seamaster 300, the Seamaster 120 was launched by Omega in 1965, and the reference 116.073 currently being offered is the “Deep Blue” edition with a blue Bakelite bezel and dial. This vintage Seamaster’s standout appearance is thanks to its large luminous markers, sword hands, and the thick Bakelite bezel, which features large minute numbers. The Seamaster 120’s unique tonneau-shaped stainless steel case adds to its remarkable look, while the caseback displays the engraved Omega seahorse.
The present Seamaster ref. 116.073 is an exceptional example of this rare diver watch manufactured by Omega. The watch is in overall exceptional condition with a nice matching patina on hands, dial, bezel all still correctly reacting to UV light. Case is still in great shape as well as the bezel and dial which shows just some very light signs of wear. The 565 caliber works perfectly. The caseback has still the Omega Seahorse perfectly engraved. The watch is accompanied by an Original Omega Mesh bracelet.
