AUDEMARS PIGUET POCKET WATCH ROYAL OAK STEEL / GOLD
The very first Royal Oak model was launched in 1972, the time-only Reference 5402ST. Not only is it one of the most beautiful watches ever made, but it is also highly recognizable for its peculiar octagonal bezel. Over the years, Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak design has been adapted to numerous models such as chronographs, perpetual calendars and grand complications, varying in size, thickness and material. Not everyone is aware that “Royal Oak” pocket watches were also made in an extremely limited series like this one.
This Royal Oak pocket watch has a steel/gold case, a gray dial with dauphine hands and an ultra-thin caliber, and of course the iconic octagonal bezel. Despite light signs of wear, the watch is in excellent overall condition with an unpolished case and flawless dial. Extremely rare, sought after and made in only a few pieces, this Royal Oak pocket watch would make a great addition to any vintage collection.
Serial Number 243XXX, Year Circa 80’s.
