BULGARI BULGARI PERPETUAL CALENDAR RETROGRADE SECONDS PLATINUM SALMON DIAL
Today, Bulgari is widely recognized for the Octo Finissimo, a watch developed in recent years that has set numerous world records for its ultra-thin design. However, Bulgari’s reputation for exceptional watchmaking extends far beyond the past decade with the Octo Finissimo. Notable examples include the iconic Bulgari Serpenti watches for women, as well as the Bulgari Roma, Bulgari Diagono, and Bulgari Bulgari models. The Bulgari Bulgari is particularly distinguished by the repeated “Bulgari” engraving on its bezel. In the past, Bulgari has also produced a few extremely rare and special limited-edition Bulgari Bulgari watches, such as the present example, which remains virtually unknown to the watch community due to its rarity and the limited number of pieces that have surfaced for sale.
The present Bulgari Bulgari timepiece is an extraordinary blend of art and horological innovation. Produced in the 1990s as a limited edition of only 99 pieces, the watch features a stunning platinum round case with a bezel engraved with the iconic “Bulgari Bulgari” motif. A particularly striking feature is the warm salmon-colored dial, which adds a unique charm to its design. Most remarkable is its movement a perpetual calendar with retrograde jumping seconds. The dial includes a fan-shaped sector for retrograde seconds and three subsidiary dials for day, date, and month, complete with a leap year indicator. Due to its rarity, this watch is virtually unknown, with very few examples appearing in international auctions over the years. The overall condition is exceptional, featuring a mint dial, a perfectly functioning caliber, and an unpolished case.
Limited edition of 99 pieces, 38mm diameter.
