JUVENIA ARITHMO PINK GOLD

Juvenia was founded in 1869 by Jacques Didisheim. Mr Jacques dedicated the name of his business to his wife, naming the company with her name. Over the years, Juvenia has become one of the most important Swiss watchmaking brands. It has been making watches of remarkable quality since the early 1900s such as the Sextant, a watch inspired by the sextant, at navigational instrument used to measure the angular distance between two points. Another very famous Juvenia watch is the Arithmo, the first calculator wristwatch ever. The Arithmo could display the results of arithmetic calculations above the 12 o’clock mark.

The present Juvenia Arithmo is an exceptionally rare watch very sought after by collectors. Since it was produced only in very small numbers, it’s an extremely rare task even for experienced dealers to find an Arithmo watch in such beautiful and original condition. The rarity of this specimen is further enhanced by the fact that the case is made of pink gold, which is very unusual for Arithmo watches. The dial, case, movement and caseback show no particular signs of wear or defects. The watch comes with original Juvenia leather strap and buckle.

LONGINES NAUTILUS SKIN DIVER REF. 6921-2

The Nautilus Skin Diver reference 6921 was the first professional diving watch produced by Longines. It is a very rare and hard-to-find watch as it was produced for a few years starting in the late 1950s only in a few hundred pieces. Originally designed as a tool watch for professional divers, over the years it became a Longines iconic model and is now highly sought after by collectors. It features a water-proof compressor case made by Ervin Piquerez, an automatic 19AS movement, a black lacquered dial and a black bakelite rotating bezel with luminous numerals.

This Longines is a very rare Nautilus Skin Diver reference 6921-2 from 1959, and considering the age of the watch and the daily use it was made of these watches, we can say that the general condition is truly excellent. The case still comes with the original shapes, the dial shows some signs of aging but it still has all the gilt lettering and the original luminous material, the movement works perfectly, the beautiful caseback with the engraved diver has no steel-cancer and screws perfectly. The bezel, a very delicate part of this watch, is the original and is in excellent condition with no serious defects. Very few examples have survived in such condition, a truly fascinating watch.

The watch is accompanied by an extract from the Longines archives confirming its sale in the USA in 1959.

PATEK PHILIPPE MARILYN MONROE PINK ON PINK REF. 2442

The Patek Philippe “Marilyn Monroe” Ref. 2442 is undoubtedly one of the most coveted and sought-after watches among Patek collectors. The reference 2442 was nicknamed “Marilyn Monroe” due to its curved and voluptuous case shape. It has been produced in very few pieces since the late 1940s and is an extremely rare watch that is very hard to find on the market. The uniqueness of this specimen is further emphasized by the fact that both the case and the dial are made of rose gold, which is confirmed also by the extract from the Patek Philippe archives.

The present specimen is an exceptional example of this extremely and rare Patek Philippe wristwatch. The overall condition is truly exceptional, for sure one of the most well preserved examples ever surfaced on the market. The 18kt rose gold case is most likely untouched still retaining the original factory shapes with deep and well-defined gold stamps. The refined 9’’90 manual winding caliber works perfectly. The dial is absolutely flawless, it has never been restored and the accent on “Genève” is still present. The watch also comes with its original leather strap and buckle. All components are correct for the watch and match the production period.

PATEK PHILIPPE CALATRAVA REF. 2552 TIFFANY

The Patek Philippe reference Ref. 2552 is undoubtedly one of the most popular Calatrava models among collectors. The esthetics of this watch are indeed exceptionally modern. The water-resistant stepped case measures 36 mm, and the dial is just as wide, which, together with the small curved lugs, makes the watch to have a great presence on the wrist. Nicknamed “Disco Volante” by collectors for its unusual shapes, reference 2552 is highly sought after, especially when it has with rare features like the present example. The dial bears the double signature “Patek Philippe” and “Tiffany”, a rather unusual fact that makes this 2552 a real collector’s item. Reference 2552 was produced for 5 years, from 1955 to 1960, examples with double signature can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The reference 2552 is powered by the in-house automatic caliber 12-600 with Geneva Seal, in the opinion of many one of the best automatic calibers ever developed.

This Patek Philippe Ref. 2552 is an gorgeous example of this very rare reference. The Tiffany lettering on the dial makes the watch extremely exclusive, there are very few 2552s known with the famous New York jeweler’s lettering on the dial. The condition is very good, the dial has acquired a fascinating brown patina over time, the case is intact, never polished and with deep gold stamps, the caliber 12-600 works perfectly. In addition, the movement is appropriately stamped ‘HOX,’ the correct import mark for the American market, a fact that further confirms that the watch was originally marketed in the US, where Tiffany is based. The caseback bears an intriguing dedication indicating that this watch was a birthday gift from employees to their employer. Finally, it is useful to note that the date of the dedication on the caseback is also written in American format, further evidence of the watch’s origins in the US.

ROLEX KING MIDAS YELLOW GOLD GOLD REF. 4315

At the end of the 1950s, Rolex entrusted Charles Gerald Genta, the very famous Swiss designer of watches and jewelry, with the design of an innovative and important jewel-watch. Taking inspiration from ancient Greece and its mythology, Gérald Genta chose the name of King Midas for his watch. The very first Rolex King Midas was reference 9630 and was produced from about 1961 to 1972. Very few examples of this Rolex watch were made: about 800 in yellow gold and 150 in white gold. Later, other Midas references were produced with similar characteristics, but they were not identical to the original. In the second series King Midas (reference 3580) the word “MIDAS” was gradually replaced by “CELLINI”, the third series King Midas (reference 4315) had a thinner bracelet, a caseback with screws and a single fold bracelet clasp. The present example belongs to the third series.

This Rolex King Midas ref. 4315 is an exceptional example of this rare and sought-after reference. The overall conditions are exceptionally good. The case has some light signs of wear but it has most likely never been polished and has all the original shapes and angles, the dial is perfect without defects, the bracelet is intact, has no stretch and comes with all the gold stamps still present. Even the engravings on the caseback, case side and caseback are still present and well defined. All components are correct for the production year : Cellini signed dial, single fold bracelet clasp, caseback with screws.
