Grimaldi the Clown is the third clown-themed design in the Wristmon collection, paying tribute to Joseph Grimaldi, the actor who popularized the modern clown. Designed by Konstantin Chaykin in 2021, it combines elements of the 2017 Joker watch with Grimaldi’s stage face paint.
This limited-edition wristwatch, a part of Konstantin Chaykin’s Wristmons collection, features a 42mm stainless steel case with a double-wave relief pattern on the dial and letters on the bezel. It’s powered by the Caliber K.07-0, a self-winding movement with a unique Joker-themed display for hours, minutes, and moon phase. The hour and minute subdials resemble the character’s eyes, while the moonphase indicator looks like a clown’s smiling mouth with Grimaldi’s famous catchphrase.
The watch is a commemorative piece to honor Grimaldi, father of modern clownery. Konstantin Chaykin, an independent watchmaker since 2003, designed this exceptional timepiece to blend art and horology.
