Description:
EBERHARD POCKET WATCH SALMON DIAL
Founded in 1887 by Georges-Lucien Eberhard in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Maison Suisse d’Horlogerie Eberhard & Co. has a long and uninterrupted history and is synonymous with tradition, commitment and a spirit of innovation. Research, excellence and innovation are the values on which the company bases its credo, without abandoning the link with its origins and tradition.
Starting at the end of the 19th century, Eberhard began manufacturing refined pocket watches. The Eberhard pocket watches, characterized by their art deco style, well-made calibers and multi-scale dials, have become coveted collectors’ items over the years for fans of the brand.
This Eberhard & Co pocket watch is a beautiful example with a rare salmon dial. There are very few Eberhard & Co pocket watches that have survived to this day in collectible condition with a salmon dial. This configuration is certainly among the rarest, along with the one with the galvanic black dial. The overall condition of this beautiful watch is truly excellent. The case was most likely never polished and still features the original factory finish. The refined 16′ monopusher caliber with chronograph block function works perfectly, the snap caseback still closes perfectly and has no steel cancer. The salmon multi-scale dial is exceptionally well preserved despite light signs of aging. All components are correct, original and correspond to the production period: dial, hands, pushers, crown, caseback, 16’ movement.
