HEUER CARRERA REF. 1153
The Carrera takes its name from the legendary “Carrera Panamericana”, a worldwide famous road race held in Mexico between 1950 and 1954. The Carrera reference 1153 is one of the coolest chronographs you can get, with a fantastic vintage look, a true motorsport pedigree and a design originally penned by the man himself : Mr. Jack Heuer. Originally, the Carrera was powered by hand-wound chronograph movements, but with the advent of the automatic chronograph in 1969 (also a pioneering achievement by Heuer), production soon switched to automatic movements. This model is one of the most sought-after references of the automatic calibers era.
This Heuer Carrera reference 1153 is an exceptional example of this historic Carrera chronograph. With its 39mm cushioned case, silver sunburst dial with black subdials, and outer tachymeter ring, it is undoubtedly an excellent watch to add to a vintage collection. The bright orange hand is a distinctive style and eye-catching color combination typical of the 70s. A special treat is the original rice bead bracelet from legendary bracelet manufacturer Gay Freres. The watch is in excellent condition with its fully functional original Heuer automatic movement, caliber 11.
