The Patek Philippe reference Ref. 2552 is undoubtedly one of the most popular Calatrava models among collectors. The esthetics of this watch are indeed exceptionally modern. The water-resistant stepped case measures 36 mm, and the dial is just as wide, which, together with the small curved lugs, makes the watch to have a great presence on the wrist. Nicknamed “Disco Volante” by collectors for its unusual shapes, reference 2552 is highly sought after, especially when it has with rare features like the present example. The dial bears the double signature “Patek Philippe” and “Tiffany”, a rather unusual fact that makes this 2552 a real collector’s item. Reference 2552 was produced for 5 years, from 1955 to 1960, examples with double signature can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
