Description:
Breguet has always been renowned for combining exceptional watchmaking complications with timeless elegance, and the present watch perfectly embodies this philosophy.
Produced during the 1990s following the acquisition of the brand by Investcorp, this Reference 3637 represents the continuation of Breguet’s classical heritage. Despite the change in ownership, the Maison remained faithful to the aesthetic codes established by Abraham-Louis Breguet, creating highly sophisticated timepieces with an unmistakable identity.
Housed in a beautifully proportioned 37 mm platinum case, the watch offers a remarkably discreet presence on the wrist while concealing one of horology’s most prestigious complications: the minute repeater. Its restrained dimensions and precious metal case make it an elegant companion for everyday wear as well as a highly collectible complicated wristwatch.
The dial is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. It features four different hand-guilloché patterns, showcasing the artisanal techniques for which Breguet is celebrated. The display is completed by two recessed sub-dials, one for the running seconds and the other for the 24-hour indication, while black painted Roman numerals and elegant blued steel Breguet hands provide perfect legibility and unmistakable character.
Powering the watch is the calibre 567, a manually wound movement based on a Lemania ébauche and extensively reworked and finished by Breguet. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement displays refined traditional finishing and exemplifies the technical excellence that has long defined the Maison.
